👀 Single image to live stream deep fake

An open-source tool, Deep-Live-Cam, has gone viral on social media recently for its ability to take a face from a single photo and apply it to a live webcam feed, accurately mimicking the pose, lighting, and expressions of the person on camera.

How did it gain popularity?

Although in development late last year, the software gained widespread attention through videos showing real-time imitations of figures like Elon Musk, Zuck, and J.D. Vance.

🗣️ Google unveils new AI voice assistant

Google has introduced a new conversational feature for its Gemini chatbot called Gemini Live, directly competing with OpenAI's advanced voice mode for ChatGPT.

What's new?

Unlike the traditional input-output mode, It allows users to have free-flowing conversations that can be paused and resumed at any time.
Users can even interrupt or switch topics mid-conversation, much like a regular phone call.
It offers 10 new voices, letting users choose their preferred voice before starting a conversation.

Any advantages over Open AI's voice mode?

Gemini Live has a better memory as it comes with a larger context window, allowing it to hold longer conversations.

🫳 xAI unveils new Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini models

X just released an early preview of Grok-2, a significant step forward from the previous model Grok-1.5. The new model improves key areas such as conversation, coding, and reasoning.

At the same time, they also introduced Grok-2 mini, a small but capable sibling of Grok-2 which is now live on X. You can now generate images using the new Grok model.

The sample image suggests that Grok is now generating images using Flux 1, which was released just a few days ago. It's surprising how quickly they integrated it.
