KATALYZE
In regulated pharma manufacturing, the work between a molecule and a finished medicine still moves by hand. Deviation investigations drag on for weeks. Scientists lose days to fragmented systems instead of advancing the science.
Katalyze raised $10.5M to deploy agentic infrastructure. It connects the systems you already run, grounds everything in your own data, and puts expert-designed agents on the difficult work - finding root cause, catching process faults, and drafting regulatory-ready reports.
Teams see plant throughput up 25%, batch release 40% faster, and investigations that once took months close in 45 minutes. It already runs at sites inside five of the top twenty global pharma companies, helping deliver over 10 million doses in just two years. Every answer is traceable to its source, built for the world's most regulated environments.

1/ The Fable 5 official comeback: The U.S. Commerce Department has lifted export restrictions on Fable and Mythos after Anthropic agreed to strengthen security monitoring, coordinate with the government on future model releases, and report malicious activity. The decision restores global access while signaling a new era of government oversight for frontier AI models. You can access the model across the Claude Platform and Claude AI. It features new safeguards and is rolling out to tools like AWS.
2/ Anthropic just made advanced AI agents much more affordable: The company also launched Claude Sonnet 5, a new model that brings stronger reasoning, coding, tool use, and autonomous task execution to all Claude users and developers. Anthropic says the model delivers performance approaching Opus 4.8 at a significantly lower cost, making powerful AI agents more accessible for everyday applications.
3/ Anthropic is taking AI into the laboratory: The company launched Claude Science, an AI-powered research platform built for life sciences that integrates with existing lab infrastructure and supports more than 60 specialized scientific tools. The system automates complex analyses, manages computing workflows, and helps researchers accelerate discoveries while improving reproducibility and data validation.
4/ Google launched two new models: The company launched Nano Banana 2 Lite and Gemini Omni Flash, two new media models for creating and editing images and videos through the Gemini app and API. Nano Banana 2 Lite can generate images in under four seconds at a fraction of the cost, while Gemini Omni Flash enables conversational video generation and editing for $0.10 per second.
5/ OpenAI wants the U.S. government to own part of the company: The company has proposed giving the federal government a 5% stake, worth an estimated $42.6 billion, as part of a broader plan to align leading AI developers with Washington. CEO Sam Altman says the proposal would give the public a direct financial stake in AI's long-term success while easing growing political pressure on the industry.
6/ Meta wants to power the next generation of AI companies: The company is reportedly planning a cloud infrastructure business that would sell access to AI computing power and foundation models built on its massive data center network. If launched, it would position Meta to compete with providers like AWS Bedrock and CoreWeave while creating a new revenue stream from its growing AI infrastructure.
