UPDATE

Chatbots in customer service can lead to some wild situations!

At a US Chevrolet dealership, users on a platform manipulated a chatbot into offering unrealistically low car prices.

One got a 2020 Chevrolet Trax LT for $17,300 with extra perks, while another reduced a 2024 Chevy Tahoe's price to $1 (yes, a dollar) by tricking the chatbot.Ā

The dealership's attempts to fix this were also bypassed. It's a techy reminder that chatbots need a good mix of brains and boundaries to handle the wild world of customer service.

OpenAI suggests six ways to get better responses from AI:

  • šŸ“Ā Be Crystal Clear: Chat with the AI like you're giving directions to a lost tourist. The more specific you are, the less likely you'll end up with wacky answers!

  • šŸ“š Provide Reference Text: Include reference materials for more reliable answers, especially on less-known topics.

  • āž—Ā Break Down Complex Tasks: Divide complicated requests into simpler parts to improve accuracy.

  • ā³ Allow Time for Thinking: Ask the AI to explain its thought process for better answers.

  • šŸ› ļø Use External Tools: Use additional tools like code engines for tasks needing calculations or special knowledge.

  • šŸ§ŖĀ Test, Test, and Retest: Keep throwing a mix of challenges at the AI. It's like a training montage in a movie, ensuring your AI sidekick gets sharper with each round.

UPDATE

This one is groovy, groovy.

Microsoft's AI chatbot, Copilot, can now create songs using the GenAI music app Suno. Users give prompts to Copilot, like "Create a pop song about adventures with your family," and Suno generates complete songs with lyrics and music.

To use this feature:

  • Copilot users go to Copilot.Microsoft.com on Microsoft Edge

  • Login, and enable the Suno plug-in, easy-peasy.
