TOGETHER WITH WRITER
Writer RAG tool: build production-ready RAG apps in minutes
RAG in just a few lines of code? We’ve launched a predefined RAG tool on our developer platform, making it easy to bring your data into a Knowledge Graph and interact with it with AI. With a single API call, writer LLMs will intelligently call the RAG tool to chat with your data.
Integrated into Writer’s full-stack platform, it eliminates the need for complex vendor RAG setups, making it quick to build scalable, highly accurate AI workflows just by passing a graph ID of your data as a parameter to your RAG tool.
ADOBE
🎥 Adobe integrates AI models into its Creative Suite
At MAX 2024, Adobe announced tons of new creative features and AI capabilities for its products.
What are the key updates?
For Photoshop:
Photoshop now features a Distraction Removal tool to eliminate unwanted elements in images and a Generative Workspace in beta for brainstorming and refining designs.
The new Substance 3D Viewer (also in beta) lets designers edit 3D objects within 2D designs. Plus, popular tools like Generative Fill and Generative Background, powered by Firefly Image 3, are now fully available.
For Illustrator:
Illustrator now features Objects on Path for easy alignment along paths, Enhanced Image Trace for vector conversion, and a Generative Shape Fill in beta, powered by Firefly Vector.
Adobe also introduced Project Neo in Illustrator, a web app for creating 3D designs.
Firefly Video Model:
Adobe unveiled the Firefly Video Model, which will be deeply integrated with Premiere Pro, offering features like generating video from text and image prompts, extending video clips for smooth transitions, and adjusting footage to match music tracks.
This model is designed to be safe for commercial use. You can join the waitlist here.
DEEPFAKE
🔥 Sound to Motion
Researchers have recently developed an AI system called TANGO that can generate realistic videos of people gesturing and moving to match any audio recording.
How does it work?
It starts by analyzing reference videos to create a “motion graph” of possible body positions and transitions.
Then, it picks the best movement sequences that match the audio.
Finally, it generates smooth transitional frames to create a realistic gesture video.
Why does it matter?
TANGO reveals how realistic AI-generated videos have become, reminding us to be careful with content from unverified sources since it’s getting harder to tell what’s real and what’s fake.
PS: You can test the model from the huggingface space.
