1/ A new era of Apple Intelligence
Apple finally announced its long-awaited Apple Intelligence features at its Glowtime event on Monday.
What has been revealed?
Siri Enhancements: Siri now understands context better, handles speech errors, and answers more questions about Apple device features.
Visual Intelligence: Snap a pic and learn more about what you're looking at within seconds. It might also connect with Google Search or ChatGPT for more detailed info.
Improved writing and expression: New writing tools are available that proofread text, suggest rewrites in different tones (Friendly, Professional, Concise), and offer text summarization in various formats (list, table, etc.).
Mail Summarization: A new tool summarizes emails with one click, prioritizes important ones, and offers quick replies.
Photos: It can also find old photos and videos for you instantly. Just describe the photo or video, and Apple's AI will find it for you.
Transcription: Record audio and get automatic transcripts with summaries in Notes and other apps.
When will it be available?
It will first roll out in the US as a beta in October, with localized English in some markets by December. More languages like Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish are expected in 2025.
2/ New Weave’s AI-powered bot that does your chores
Weave recently unveiled Isaac, a groundbreaking personal robot designed to autonomously handle household tasks, with plans to ship to its first customers in fall 2025.
What can Isaac do?
Isaac autonomously performs tasks such as tidying up, folding laundry, organizing spaces, and other household chores with minimal intervention.
How does Isaac interact with users?
The robot butler responds seamlessly to both voice and text commands and can be programmed via an app for customized task management.
What is the cost?
Weave plans to charge $59,000 for Isaac, or $1,385 per month over 48 months, with a $1,000 reservation fee for the first 30 customers in the US.
Why does this matter?
Isaac’s introduction comes amid rising competition in affordable, intelligent household robots. With other major players like Tesla’s Optimus and 1X’s NEO Beta also in the race, Isaac's versatility and ease of use make it a notable contender in the evolution of home management technology.
