Meta’s AI assistant is everywhere across Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Meanwhile, the company’s next major AI model, Llama 3, has arrived.

Llama 3 is presented as a superior model to its predecessors, boasting enhancements in coding tasks, and general AI performance. It is fully open-sourced. Meta should be called “OPEN”AI.

Llama 3 will be integrated into Meta AI, which the company boasts is the most advanced among its free-to-use counterparts.

How powerful is Llama 3:

• In benchmark evaluations, Llama 3 8B outperformed other open-source AIs like Mistral 7B and Gemma 7B.

• In Meta’s human evaluation tests, Llama 3 70B emerged victorious against Claude Sonnet, Mistral Medium, and even OpenAI’s GPT 3.5.

What can it do now:

• The Meta AI assistant is now faster, and more accurate. It has enhanced features such as real-time image generation and integration of real-time search results from Google and Bing within its interface.

• Users can leverage the power of Meta AI for various tasks, including finding restaurants, planning trips, studying for exams, or generating design inspiration.

The Future. Meta is also working on integrating Meta AI into its VR headset and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
