Adobe has just released a new AI model called Magic Fixup, designed to revolutionize photo editing by automating complex adjustments using video data.

What does it do?

Magic Fixup simplifies photo editing by allowing users to move objects within an image while maintaining a natural look. Users can cut out and reposition objects, and Magic Fixup seamlessly integrates them into the new spot, making it appear as if they naturally belong there.

How does it work?

Unlike traditional photo editing tools trained on still images, Magic Fixup uses video data better to understand changes in lighting, perspective, and motion, resulting in more precise and realistic edits.

2/ Meta presents Sapiens for human-centric vision tasks 👁️ 🧠

Meta has introduced a new family of AI models called Sapiens, designed to tackle four key human-centric vision tasks:

• 2D Pose Estimation: predicting the position of body parts

• Body-Part Segmentation: identifying specific body parts

• Depth Estimation: measuring the distance of objects from the camera

• Surface Normal Prediction: predicting the orientation of surfaces

What makes it unique?

Sapiens models excel with high-resolution images and are pre-trained on over 300 million human photos. This extensive training enhances their performance and allows for easy fine-tuning, unlike many models that struggle with new tasks or require extensive labeled data.
