Meta has announced exciting updates to their Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses collection.

1/ Meta x Rayban glasses are now multimodal.

• The glasses can translate languages, make video calls, identify objects, capture photos, and listen to music.

• Users can interact with the glasses using voice commands, saying "Hey Meta," and receive real-time information.

These capabilities were in testing for a while and are now available to everyone in the US and Canada.

2/ They are also introducing new styles to cater to a wider range of face shapes.

• The new styles include the vintage-inspired Skyler frames, designed for smaller faces, and the Headliner frames with a low bridge option.

• It also introduces video calling capabilities via WhatsApp and Messenger, allowing users to share their views during a video call.

10. X just launched its video app, which will have a trending video algorithm, AI-powered trending topics, and cross-device compatibility.

11. Microsoft and Coca-Cola announced a 5-year strategic partnership, in which Coca-Cola has made a $1.1 billion commitment to the Microsoft Cloud and its generative AI capabilities. 

12. Microsoft launched Phi-3-Mini, a 3.8 billion parameter language model, as the first of three small models in the Phi-3 series.

This week, Adobe introduced the Firefly Image 3, the most advanced iteration of its GenAI creative models.

Here’s a brief overview:

• Firefly Image 3 delivers significantly enhanced photorealistic visuals, styling options, and faster, more accurate image generation.

• The model has been upgraded to produce higher-quality images and offers a deeper understanding of user prompts, providing richer detail and a wider variety of outputs.

• It integrates with Adobe's Structure Reference and Style Reference features, which allow you to create images that mimic any reference photo you upload.

• In essence, this model can take a reference image and accurately generate the desired outcome with minimal adjustments to the prompt.

How can I use it?

It’s available in beta on Adobe's Firefly web app, Photoshop, and InDesign platforms.
