🛠️ This new data poisoning tool lets artists fight back against generative AI

Artists are protesting against the tech sector's use of their work to train AI without consent. The power imbalance favors tech companies. To counter this, Zhao's lab developed Nightshade, a tool that alters images subtly to mislead AI during training.

When these altered images are used in training, they can cause the AI model to malfunction, making the unauthorized use of artists' work a risky venture for tech companies.

With this tool, artists and creator communities may find themselves in a better position to negotiate terms with tech companies

🤖 Google's secret AI tool codenamed 'Stubbs' just got leaked

According to a leak by Bedros Pamboukian on Medium, Google is set to reveal a new AI tool called 'Stubbs' on Google Makersuite.

It can generate, deploy, and even publish AI apps with no code.

Stubbs is powered by Gemini, a new multimodal AI model from Google meant to surpass PaLM2 that can understand and generate text, images, and other types of content.

This is a game-changer for UX designers and developers alike.

Stubbs is still under development, but it's already showing a lot of promise :D

The new Midjourney website just launched in beta!

We're testing the phase 1 update to our website and we'd love for you to take a look!

This first release is focused on searching, browsing, and viewing images. Organization features (such as collections) and image creation features will be included in follow-up releases.
