Harvard University is set to embrace the power of generative AI in its classrooms, as it announces plans to use AI chatbots as official instructors in its flagship coding course starting this September.

This chatbot will be powered by OpenAI GPT 3.5 and GPT 4 models. Its main mission is to assist students in debugging their codes, offering valuable feedback on their work, and helping them tackle those pesky error messages and unfamiliar lines of code.

Harvard's ultimate aim is to create a learning environment that comes close to a 1:1 teacher-to-student ratio. By providing each student with AI chatbots that are available 24/7, ready to support their learning journey at their own pace and in their preferred style.

From our partners

The Forge just launched a new AI-powered tool that empowers everyone to easily create and monetize powerful AI-based applications without a single line of code.

It is a prompt-based AI app builder which makes building and publishing apps really easy. It just takes minutes instead of days to build a fully functional AI app now.

They have a marketplace where you can sell your AI apps.

Google Sheets now has a clever AI sidekick in its sidebar called "Help me organize" that suggests and creates table templates for you.

How it works? : You just need to type a prompt that describes what you want to accomplish or organize, and Duet AI, as they say, will create a table with suggested categories and structure to help you get started.

Google wants to reassure us that its AI features are meant to assist, not replace, human expertise. So, while "Help Me Organize" generates content and templates for you, You can still edit and customize the spreadsheet to make it truly yours.

Currently, the "Help me organize" feature in Google Sheets is available for trusted testers who have signed up for Google Workspace Labs.
