Google is enhancing Maps with new AI-driven features, aiming to make it more akin to Search by offering an immersive navigation experience and improved search results.

Notable feature includes:

  • Predictive Traffic: Predictive algorithms offer optimal travel times to avoid traffic.

  • Enhanced Place Details: Analyzing “billions” of user-uploaded photos to help people find specific items or places, like coffee shops with unique latte art.

  • Immersive View: More cities now have 3D visualization for better navigation.

Boston Dynamics has enhanced its Spot robot dog by integrating ChatGPT, thus enabling it to react to human interactions and partake in conversations.

This fusion empowers Spot to function as a tour guide within the Boston Dynamics headquarters, while also adopting a range of whimsical personas like a "precious metal cowgirl" and a "Shakespearean time traveler".
