Happy Wednesday, AI family, and welcome back to AI Valley.

Today’s climb through the Valley reveals:

  • Claude built its new tool, 'Claude Cowork,' in under two weeks

  • OpenAI is reportedly building 5 hardware devices

  • ChatGPT Health gets smarter with Torch’s long-term medical memory

  • Signal’s founder launches ‘Confer,’ the first truly private AI chatbot

  • Apple will use Google’s Gemini for AI, but you won’t see Google’s name

Let’s dive into the Valley of AI…

GOBII

AI shouldn’t require engineering effort just to be useful.

Gobii is an easy-to-use AI platform where anyone can create intelligent agents that browse the web, read files, analyze data, and produce real results — no technical background required. Set an agent up once, and it will run continuously in the background, gathering information, generating documents, and completing tasks while you focus elsewhere.

From lead generation and recruiting to research and internal operations, Gobii’s agents adapt to how you work instead of forcing you into rigid systems. Powerful enough for technical teams, approachable enough for everyone else.

Stop babysitting prompts.

Start using AI that actually works for you.

THROUGH THE VALLEY

Source: Boris Cherny

Anthropic’s head of Claude Code, Boris Cherny, said the team built Claude Cowork in about a week and a half, with all of the coding work done by Claude itself. According to Cherny, multiple Claude instances wrote features, fixed bugs, and researched solutions, while humans focused on overall design and direction. Cowork is an AI agent that can access specific files on a user’s computer and complete tasks without requiring code from the user. The project highlights how AI tools are starting to play a direct role in building real software, not just assisting developers but actively creating it.

Here’s what Cowork can already do:

  • Read, write, and reorganize your files automatically

  • Clean up messy inboxes and cluttered folders

  • Generate reports from scattered notes and screenshots

  • Build presentations, spreadsheets, and documents

  • Run multi-step workflows across different tools

  • Browse the web and pull fresh data when needed

  • Ask clarifying questions when something is unclear

Moxie Marlinspike, the creator of Signal, is building a privacy-first AI assistant called Confer. Unlike current tools, Confer is designed so that absolutely no one (not the company, hackers, or law enforcement) can read your conversations. It uses heavy encryption and secure hardware to keep your identity and prompts completely invisible. Marlinspike argues that because AI chats feel more like personal confessions than web searches, privacy should be the default, not an option.

OpenAI is gearing up to release a lineup of five hardware devices, with manufacturing secured through 2028. The first product, codenamed "Sweetpea," could launch as early as September. Designed by Jony Ive’s team, this audio wearable is positioned as an AI-first alternative to AirPods. It features a metal, egg-shaped core with detachable modules and may run on a powerful 2nm processor. OpenAI expects to ship up to 50 million units in its first year.

OpenAI has integrated technology from its recent acquisition, Torch, into ChatGPT Health to give the model a better understanding of medical history. Previously, AI struggled to see the big picture because health data is scattered across different apps, labs, and hospitals. Torch fixes this by combining these isolated snapshots into a single, continuous timeline. This allows ChatGPT Health to track changes in medications and test results over time, moving the tool beyond simple Q&A toward truly context-aware health guidance.

Apple has decided to use Google’s Gemini model to power several of its upcoming AI features, but with a specific condition. Apple will "fine-tune" the model so that all responses match Apple’s specific tone and standards, completely hiding any Google or Gemini branding from the user. These features are expected to roll out this spring. The move allows Apple to fast-track its AI capabilities while maintaining the seamless, controlled experience its users expect.
