ANTHROPIC
Anthropic just made Claude more capable than ever
Anthropic AI has introduced the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that connects AI assistant Claude to real-world data. It solves a big problem for AI: the struggle to pull information from outdated tools, separate systems, or scattered datasets that don’t normally work well together.
Here's what you need to know:
Alex Albert, Anthropic’s Head of Claude Relations, demonstrated how Sonnet 3.5 leveraged MCP to autonomously interact with GitHub, successfully creating a repository and submitting a pull request.
Anthropic has released ready-to-use MCP servers for popular tools like Google Drive, Slack, and GitHub, while developers can build custom connectors.
Currently, MCP supports only local connections via Claude Desktop apps, but Anthropic is developing secure remote server functionality to enable data sharing across teams.
Why it matters:
MCP simplifies AI integration with data sources, improving its efficiency and enabling Agentic AI systems, while its open-source nature makes it a key tool for advancing AI adoption.

NVIDIA unveiled Fugatto
Nvidia unveils Fugatto, an AI model for generating music and sound through simple text prompts that claim to be entirely original.
Here's what you need to know:
Fugatto can generate unique music or sound effects, like a trumpet meowing or a piano turning into a human voice.
The tool also allows voice modification, such as changing accents or adjusting emotional tones, like turning a calm voice into an angry one.
Users can modify compositions by isolating vocals, adding new instruments, or swapping existing ones in songs.
While NVIDIA hasn’t released the model for use, it has released a demo on GitHub showing the tool’s capabilities.
Why it matters:
Fugatto’s ability to generate entirely new sounds unlocks unique creative possibilities for music and audio production, setting it apart from current AI tools like ElevenLabs and SunoAI.

ChatGPT advanced voice mode is the way of the future.
Just watched my 5-year-old son chat with ChatGPT advanced voice mode for over 45 minutes.
It started with a question about how cars were made.
It explained it in a way that he could understand.
He started peppering it with questions.
Then he told it about his teacher, and… x.com/i/web/status/1…
