ChatGPT app just released on mobile📱
The app is totally free to use but you can upgrade to the Plus version with 20 $ to access GPT-4 capabilities on your device.
One advantage of the mobile app version of ChatGPT over the browser version is that it integrates OpenAI's Whisper speech-to-text model. This allows you to use voice input to interact with the chatbot, speaking your questions or messages instead of typing them out.
Right now, the app is only available in the U.S., but it will be coming to other countries soon. And don't worry, if you have an Android phone, they're working on an app for that too.
Apple's new on-device voice cloning 🗣️
Apple is introducing an on-device voice cloning feature called ‘‘Personal Voice’’ later this year for iPhones and iPads.
This new feature is designed for individuals who are at risk of losing their ability to speak due to conditions like ALS.
Personal Voice allows you to create a digital voice replica that just sounds like them, enabling them to communicate with family and friends. Users will just have to read a set of text prompts to record 15 minutes of audio, to generate and store a voice clone safely on their device.

Altman’s Senate meeting highlights ⚖️
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently had a three-hour-long meeting where he discussed the risks associated with AI and the importance of having rules and regulations to ensure its ethical use.
