Turn any idea into an investable index using AI

Source: Public

Multi-asset investing platform Public has just launched Generated Assets, enabling you to turn any idea into an investable index using AI.

Just enter your prompt into the chat-based interface in as much or as little detail as you like. In seconds, the AI will pull a custom list of stocks and help you build a Generated Asset tailored to your vision.

You can analyze your index's historical performance, compare it to the S&P 500, and fine-tune the holdings to your liking. Then, share your Generated Asset with the world—and see how it stacks up against the rest.

THROUGH THE VALLEY

🧠 Apple to support brain-implant control of its devices

ALS patient Mark Jackson controls Vision Pro using a brain implant

Apple is exploring brain-computer interfaces through a partnership with Synchron, a company that makes an implantable device to read brain signals. The tech, inserted into a vein near the brain’s motor cortex, has let early testers control iPhones, iPads, and Vision Pro headsets. Synchron’s device has been tested in 10 people since 2019. Apple is now helping define a new standard for this emerging tech.

Saudi Arabia has launched Humain, a multibillion-dollar AI initiative backed by its $940B Public Investment Fund. The venture will build Arabic language models and AI infrastructure like advanced data centers. Announced during a US–Saudi forum attended by Trump, Musk, Jensen, Altman, and more. Humain signals a more defined direction for Saudi’s AI ambitions and intensifies competition with the UAE and Qatar.

🔋 Apple uses AI to boost battery life

Apple is reportedly adding an AI-powered battery management system to iOS 19, aiming to improve battery life using on-device intelligence. The feature, expected to debut at WWDC in June, would learn each user’s habits and adjust background activity, charging, and performance in real time without sending data to the cloud. It’s a shift from generic tools to personalized, practical AI use. Apple hasn’t confirmed the feature yet.

Ahead of I/O 2025, Google is set to unveil a slate of AI upgrades as it looks to shift attention from antitrust scrutiny. Expected reveals include a coding assistant for developers, a Pinterest-style image discovery tool, and deeper Gemini AI integration across Chrome and Android XR glasses. Google may also launch Gemini Live voice chat in Chrome, signaling its push to stay ahead of OpenAI and Apple in AI and search.

🧠 Flexible brain implant takes major leap forward

Precision Neuroscience has received FDA approval for a brain-computer interface that can be implanted through an incision smaller than 1mm. The device sits on the brain’s motor cortex and can stay in place for up to 30 days. The goal: collect brain data to train algorithms that turn thoughts into machine commands. Precision plans to begin trials for a fully implanted version in 2026.

🦾 Tesla shares video of its Optimus robot catching up to competition

Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot appears to be catching up to competitors. Elon Musk has told shareholders it could be a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity. Tesla already uses robots in its factories and just released a new video showing Optimus dancing. The article also features a competing robot from Unitree.

👨‍⚕️ Google AI > human doctors?

Google has upgraded its medical chatbot, AMIE, to analyze rashes, ECGs, and lab reports bringing it closer to functioning like a real doctor. Powered by Gemini 2.0 Flash, AMIE can now combine images and clinical data to make accurate diagnoses, even from low-quality inputs. In tests with 105 simulated patients, it outperformed human doctors in both accuracy and communication. It’s still experimental but it hints at the future of AI-driven healthcare.

🤖 12.6% of jobs may be at risk from automation

Source: SHRM

New SHRM research finds 12.6% of U.S. jobs are at high risk of AI-driven displacement mostly in service, admin, finance, manufacturing, and transport. Meanwhile, 62.8% of jobs face low risk, since AI often targets repetitive tasks, not full roles. The report notes AI adoption is still early, and outcomes will depend heavily on how companies implement these tools.
