THROUGH THE VALLEY
Anthropic has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Defense after the Pentagon labeled the company a “supply chain risk,” a designation typically used for foreign security threats. The classification prevents Anthropic from working with the military and came after a dispute over a proposed $200 million AI contract. Anthropic says it refused to allow its AI systems to be used for mass surveillance or autonomous weapons. The company argues the decision is unlawful and politically motivated. Meanwhile, OpenAI and Elon Musk’s xAI have signed new Pentagon agreements to provide AI systems.
Nvidia is preparing to launch an open-source platform for AI agents called NemoClaw, according to WIRED. The system will allow companies to build agents capable of carrying out multi-step tasks across different software tools. Nvidia has already discussed the project with companies including Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike ahead of its developer conference in San Jose. The platform will include security and privacy features and will also work on systems that do not run Nvidia chips. The move signals Nvidia’s push deeper into the rapidly expanding AI agent market.
Anthropic has launched a new feature called Code Review inside Claude Code to help teams inspect AI-generated software. The tool connects directly to GitHub and reviews pull requests before changes are merged. It scans code for bugs, logic errors, and security vulnerabilities, then explains the issues and suggests fixes. Anthropic says the system uses multiple AI agents to analyze the code from different angles and often catches problems human reviewers overlook. The feature is designed for enterprise teams such as Uber, Salesforce, and Accenture, with each automated review costing about $15 to $25.
Figure AI has released a new demo showing its humanoid robot, Figure 03, cleaning a cluttered living room entirely on its own. Powered by the Helix 02 system, the robot completes tasks without human control. In the video it sprays and wipes a table, sorts objects, tosses a pillow onto a couch, and places items in a bin using both hands. It also navigates tight spaces and repositions objects to handle them correctly. Figure says the system combines vision, reasoning, and full-body movement so the robot can operate in messy real-world homes.
